Working steps of our chicken feed production line

After raw materials have been prepared, you can start running the production line. After grinding, mixing, pelletizing, and cooling, you can have the final products.

1. Grinding

The cleaned raw materials are fed into a hammer mill or crusher to be ground into a fine powder. (Uncleaned raw materials may contain stones, nails, etc., which can damage the machine’s internal structure and affect pellet production quality.)

This step aims to reduce particle size for better mixing and pelletizing.

2. Mixing

The crushed material is fed into a feed mixer. The additional additives, such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other nutrients, can be added either in the machine. This step ensures a uniform distribution of nutrients within the feed. (Medications can be added if the animal is sick.)

This is why pelleted feed is more profitable than conventional raw materials. Through mixing, poultry can directly absorb the essential nutrients they need for growth.

3. Pelletizing

The mixed feed is fed into a pellet machine. Under high temperature and pressure, the feed is compressed into hard, uniform pellets.

Mature pellets are not only easy to digest and nutritionally balanced, but also reduce waste when animals eat. They are also convenient for storage and transportation.

4. Cooling

Freshly made pellets are hot and wet and need to pass through a pellet cooler, where air circulation can quickly reduce the temperature and humidity. This step helps prevent mold growth and maintain pellet quality.

Note: To facilitate storage or external sales to medium-sized feed mills, we also provide packaging machines, which automatically weigh the cooled pellets and put them into bags (5 kg, 25 kg, or 50 kg are available).

Main machines in the large-scale chicken feed production line

Each step corresponds to a machine. The following will briefly introduce its working principle and model parameters.

1. Hammer mill

The hammer mill crushes the raw materials into powder for subsequent mixing and is more conducive to feed extruder processing. By changing the screen with different mesh sizes, the hammer mill can output powders of different particle sizes.

2. Animal feed mixer

This horizontal mixer is used to mix the crushed materials. It can also add micronutrients, nutritional powder, etc., to the powder that needs to be stirred and mixed. This equipment mainly uses an electric motor as its power.

3. Chicken food pellet machine

The poultry feed pellet-making machine grinds and compresses the raw materials to produce compact feed pellets. It has a huge range of applications for processing corn, alfalfa, bran, and grass (Common diameters are: 2mm, 4mm, 6mm, and 8mm) with a capacity of 80-700kg of pellets per hour.

4. Feed cooler

This feed pellet cooler machine is an important machine in our chicken feed production line, whose main function is to quickly cool the processed high-temperature particles to room temperature and absorb the unprocessed powder to improve the overall production efficiency.

5. Pellet packing machine

Our packaging machine can accurately package large-weight particles weighing 10-50kg, and it is equipped with a weighing control system for automatic volume adjustment and precise packaging.
